Where We Work

We’re based in Ilford, East London, and we work with businesses across the capital and throughout the UK. Most projects run remotely — here’s honestly how that works and where we’re strongest.

Where we're based

Ilford, East London

XCONS Solutions Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 16117496, and based in Ilford.

We’re a remote team. That means there’s no reception desk and no meeting room — the work happens over calls, shared documents and screen shares.

It’s also a large part of why our pricing sits where it does: you’re not funding an office, a receptionist, or account managers who forward your emails to the person doing the work.

If you’d prefer to meet face to face, we can usually arrange something in central or east London. Most clients don’t ask, but it’s there if you want it.

Where we're strongest

East London and the boroughs

Being honest about geography is more useful than claiming everywhere equally.

For local search — East London

Google’s local results are heavily influenced by proximity. Being based in Ilford means we rank, and we can get clients ranking, most effectively across Ilford, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, Newham, Stratford, Romford, Havering and Waltham Forest. If you’re a local business in this part of London, we’re on your doorstep and it shows in results.

For London generally

Organic search isn’t distance-limited the way the map pack is, so we compete across London — the City, Canary Wharf, Islington, Hackney, Camden, Southwark and beyond. Plenty of our clients are central London businesses.

For the rest of the UK

We work with businesses nationwide, and roughly the same proportion of our work is outside London as in it. Web development, ecommerce, SEO and automation don’t require anyone to be in the room.

What this means for you

If you’re a local business needing to appear in the map pack, we’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable in your specific area. Proximity is the one ranking factor nobody can optimise away, and we’d rather set that expectation now than after three months.

How remote projects run

What working with us looks like

Step 01

Kick-off call

Video, sixty minutes, screen shared. We go through scope, access and what we need from you.

Step 02

Shared documentation

Everything written down in one place you can access any time — scope, decisions, progress, and what’s waiting on whom.

Step 03

Scheduled contact

A call every week or fortnight depending on the project, plus email and WhatsApp in between. You won’t be chasing us for updates.

Step 04

Access, not handover

You have logins to everything as it’s built, not at the end. If you want to look at progress on a Tuesday night, you can.

Step 05

Reporting

Monthly, in plain English, on a call rather than as a PDF you’ll never open.

Distance genuinely doesn’t affect quality on this kind of work. What affects quality is whether the agency communicates, and being in the same postcode has never guaranteed that.

Questions

About where we work

No. London is where we're based and where a lot of our clients are, but we work across the UK. Location rarely affects how a project runs.

If you're located there, yes. If you're in outer London and the searcher is in the City, proximity works against you and we'll say so rather than take your money.

Wherever you are, start with an audit

Get a free website, SEO or Google Business Profile audit. We’ll tell you what’s holding you back and — if you’re a local business — what’s realistically achievable in your specific area.
