Phase 1 · Build

UI/UX Design in London

Interface design that makes the difference between a site people browse and a site they buy from. Available on its own, delivered in Figma, or as part of a full build.

The problem

Good-looking isn't the same as working

Most design feedback is about taste. Do we like the blue. Is the hero image right. Should the logo be bigger.

Almost none of it is about whether the page does its job — which is to take someone from “I might need this” to “I’ve made contact” without losing them along the way.

Pages fail at that for reasons that have nothing to do with aesthetics. The visitor can’t tell what the business does within five seconds. The thing they need to click is below three screens of company history. There are four competing calls to action, so none of them feels like the next step. The form asks for nine fields when four would do. The page looks entirely professional and converts at half what it should.

Design decisions are business decisions. Treating them as decoration is how a beautiful site underperforms an ugly one.

What actually makes a page convert

The things that move the number

In rough order of impact, based on what changes results rather than what wins design awards.

01. Clarity in the first five seconds

A visitor should know what you do, who it’s for, and what to do next before scrolling. Most pages fail here, and nothing further down compensates.

02. One obvious next step

Multiple competing calls to action reduce total conversions. Pick the primary action and let everything else be secondary.

03. Proof near the decision

Testimonials, case study links and credentials work where the decision happens — beside the form, not on a separate page nobody visits.

04. Fewer form fields

Every additional field costs completions. Ask for what you need to respond, and get the rest on the call.

05. Objection handling before the ask

The specific worries stopping someone should be addressed just above the button, not buried in an FAQ.

06. Speed

The best-designed page in the world converts nobody if it takes eight seconds on mobile.

07. Mobile as the primary design

Most visitors arrive on a phone. Designing desktop-first and shrinking it is backwards.

Our position

We’d rather run a design review that identifies three specific changes worth making than sell you a redesign you may not need. Sometimes the answer genuinely is a rebuild. Often it’s four fixes.

Our process

How a design project runs

Step 01

Review & goals

We look at what the page or product needs to achieve and what’s currently stopping it.

Step 02

Structure & wireframe

Layout, hierarchy and flow agreed in low fidelity first, before anything gets visually designed.

Step 03

Visual design

Full design in Figma, with a component library so everything stays consistent as you grow.

Step 04

Prototype

Interactive click-through for web apps and mobile apps, so flows can be tested before build.

Step 05

Handover

Editable Figma files, developer documentation and specifications, whether we build it or someone else does.

What's included

In every design project

Editable Figma files

Delivered in full, yours to keep, with no dependency on us.

Mobile-first design

Designed for phones first, then scaled up rather than squeezed down.

Component library

Reusable elements so new pages stay consistent without redesigning them.

Developer handoff docs

Specifications, spacing, states and assets so any developer can build it.

Conversion-led layout

Structure driven by what the page needs to achieve, not decoration.

Revision rounds included

Stated in the proposal upfront, never billed as a surprise afterwards.

Who this is for

Design-only probably suits you if

You have a developer and only need the design done

You want the interface designed before committing to a build

You're launching an app and need screens designed properly

Your current site looks fine but converts poorly

You need a design system so future pages stay consistent

You won’t pay for this twice

If we’re building the site too, design is already included from the Growth tier upwards. Design-only pricing applies when the build is happening elsewhere, or isn’t happening yet.

Where this fits

Build is phase one of four

Design sits in phase one but affects phase two directly. A page that converts at 4% instead of 2% doubles the return on every pound of SEO and ad spend that follows — which is usually cheaper than doubling the traffic.

It also connects forward: form design is conversion design, and the forms designed here feed the CRM built in phase three. Fields decided now determine what data you have to work with later.
